ReSound Smart App Reviews

Useful but Limited!

I like the app because it has potential but it definitely needs some improvements. It paired within seconds to my iPhone 6s and the noise quality is good for the most part. However, there is static in buildings & garages and there are too many pages/tabs to control the basic functions. My hearing aid batteries always show 100% battery life so theres no indication that they are low so they just die without warning.

Apple Watch Interface Broken

This was a 4 star app until the latest update. Now the app doesnt connect from my Apple Watch which makes it only a 2 star app.

Watch connection fix

After updating to 3.3.0 my watch couldnt connect to my HAs, like LMT413 found, although the iPhone app worked fine. But after deleting and reinstalling 3.3.0, all was well. Connected to my watch just fine.

New 3.3 release fails

Update: Disabled battery button instead of fixing.....do they even read these reviews?....embarrassing....Works fine with iPhone 6s Plus ....battery level has never worked, Needs hard press to quickly change volume/mode. App has not been updated recently, why not? Also, have never figured out how to let car Bluetooth take over, stays on heAring aids.

Major Disappointment

I have used this app with ReSound Linx2 9s since July 2015 on two compatible Apple devices and experienced nothing but one problem after another. Frequent visits to my audiologist and close coordination with company engineers have yielded unsatisfactory results. Connectivity problems persist. The number of adjustments required to affect even one change are maddening and should be unnecessary given the cost of the hearing aids, size of the company and especially the claims made in marketing brochures or on their website. If you are streaming Apple Music through your devices and want to change the hearing aid program you are in, you must stop streaming, change your program, be certain the change stays, then resume streaming. The process is rather labor intensive and disruptive and is one of numerous examples occurring in the course of a typical user day. The recent update to the app made a barely discernible difference in only one problem area. If you are considering a purchase of devices and thinking the ability to stream content on your phone, iPad or iPod via wireless Bluetooth connectivity will be easy or seamless, please conduct plenty of research and read all reviews you can find. My experience has been sufficiently poor that I am compelled to write my first bad review ever. It is my opinion that ReSound is not acting responsibly in relation to the applications they offer or the advertising they distribute about the capabilities of hearing aids they sell.

Apple Watch Wont Connect

After the app update my Apple Watch would no longer connect to my Hearing Aids. I see that there are other complaints of the same sort so I wont elaborate any more. Im going to try the steps given in another review to see if that will fix it. March 14, 2016 The steps did not fix it. The Resound Apple Watch feature DOES NOT connect anymore. There is no way to caontact the App Developers for App Support. All in All, this app is no good. DJ Hunt

Missing #1 feature

The Apple Watch integration is an epic fail! If youre going to add an app made for for Apple Watch, at least provide the number one service for those of us who invested huge sums of money in your product.... The ability to answer the phone from the Apple Watch utilizing the Apple Watch mic so we dont have to reach in our pocket to pull out the iPhone... These were my replacements for the audio yes IIIs using an icom. With my older setup my phone stays in the pocket so I can utilize both hands while talking on the phone with tech support (multitasking) without having a brick (iPhone) in one hand while up on a ladder 20..

Connectvity Problems PLUS

Hello out there ! Does anyone at Resound ior Apple listen carefully to the hearing disabled using the iPod Touch 6th Gen with the ReSound LiNX2 hearing devices ? Competence or the lack thereof has been in play with the end result of the technology has overrun abilty to support a great product application. Come guys, lets make the grand effort and get squared away !!

Maybe this will help...

I have the Linx squared hearing aids and use the Resound Smart app, and I love it. The first three weeks that I had the hearing aids I used the app often every day to get the best settings. When I went back to the audiologist he used a type of computer hooked to my hearing aids when they were still in my ears and set them according to what the hearing aids showed him I had done with the app those weeks. I have to say that since then I have never heard so well in my entire life. I have not even had to change a single setting in the app. I would suggest you try to see if you can find an audiologist that knows what he is doing with these aids, and have him do what mentioned above. If the app is a problem, delete it and reinstall it. That usually is the best option with any app that seems to be acting up. I am speaking about the iPhone app as I don’t have an Apple Watch, - yet.

Fix the upgrade watch disconnect problem

When I first got the app I really loved it. Having the ability to adjust the hearing aid program through my Apple Watch was wonderful. It would have been a 5 star rating at that point. But then I got an app update and my Apple Watch connectivity disappeared. Reinstalling the app fixed it. That was bad enough. But then I got a Watch OS upgrade and my watch connectivity to the hearing aids disappeared again. This is ridiculous. Just how often do I have to erase and reinstall the app to keep connectivity to my watch? That should never have to happen. Plus every time I delete and reinstall the app I have to recreate all my favorite programs. Fix this!!!!!

Watch app broken

As others have written, this release broke the Watch app, and it no longer connects to the hearing aids. Reinstalling is only a temporary fix. I gave it two stars instead of one because the iPhone app still works just fine.

Great idea but....

I installed this app after I got my new resound hearing aid. I already paired it , but it switches to the get started then says Im sorry your hearing aid is not paired then gives 4 page instruction. I cant get out of this part! I go to demo then I cant disable this demo and start using the selections for my hearing aid. Its already paired as shown in the accessibility section in settings! I keep uninstalling this app to start over and repeats . Im frustrated as I know I can really get a lot of benefits from this app! How do I get this to understand that its paired?

DrDans Hearing Aids and App

Ive been using this app and my new hearing aids for 3 weeks now! It is extremely important the hearing aids are set up correctly by your audiologist, the app set up by your audiologist, and everything checked again by your audiologist a couple of weeks later and again periodically, just like keeping a fine car tuned-up! This app works great! I didnt realize my hearing was so bad until now and able to hear again! The majority of my hearing loss was from my 30 years of active military service and not having ear protection available! Now, life is good! DrDan

Apple Watch Connecting Problem

Updated my iPhone 6 Plus to the new iOS 9.3.1 and the Smart App on the phone still works, but doesnt work anymore on the Apple Watch like it used to. I deleted the app on the phone and reinstalled it, but that still didnt make the Apple Watch app work. So who do us Hearing Aid Customers blame? Apple Inc. or Resound. Shame on the companies that cant keep up with the changes to give us a product that costs thousands of dollars to keep working like their ads say!
